It is a project with a promise that cannot be broken.

The devotees ---- adults and youth ---- of Bikol’s Ina are into a project of making three million rosaries in their way of celebrating the 300th year of their devotion to Ina.

The project, dubbed 3 Million Rosaries, is envisioned to strengthen the devotion to the rosary among the adults, and encourage the devotion among our youth. It hopes to bring schoolchildren and young adults to spend time praying the rosary as a way of presenting a small gift of Love to Jesus through the helping hands of His Mother. In short, the Rosary project hopes to bring to life the old adage: “To Jesus through Mary”.

Agnes Claros, project director, disclosed the several and sundry ways by which individuals or corporations can help in the project.

Individuals can donate money. A thousand pesos can buy 100 pieces of rosaries which will be given to schoolchildren and young adults in the far-flung areas in the Bikol region and around the nation. Money donations may be deposited to: Penafrancia Tricentennial, Inc. Peso SA # 0333-3719-73; US $ SA # 0334-0488-29; for $ deposits from overseas, Routing # BOP 1PHMM.

They can also donate rosaries in kind. Donations of old and still usable “extra” rosaries are welcome. The Basilica Minore is a drop off location for rosary donations in Naga.

Another way is by buying special Ina merchandise, such as the special edition rosary baller bands to be made available in the first week of May.

By participating in the facebook/website pages of Ina, one can disseminate information about Ina and promote the Rosary among the youth.

Still another is by participating in the different activities pertaining to Ina’s Tercentenary and Project 3 Million Rosaries.

Corporations can help either by making corporate money donations or through services by providing couriers, by being suppliers to print rosary instructional booklets, and similar services.
